Large French Louis 16th Style Mirror

This large and elegantly restrained mirror dates from 1929. In the early 20th century it was fashionable in France to reproduce the decorative styles of the 18th century. This mirror is a superb example of the 1920's obsession with the glamour and grandeur of the past and would have graced the walls of a large residence or hotel perhaps. The colourings are exceptionally tasteful with the subdued grey paint finish and gold detailing. Original mirrored glass in two sections.
