Pair of Louis 15th Style Bergères

This beautiful pair of Louis 15 style walnut Bergères are from La Rochelle , France. They date to 1902 - the original upholsterer has written his name and the date on the calico of one of the chairs which I discovered to my delight when I was stripping them back ready to be reupholstered. The chairs are now waiting for their new owner's choice of fabric . The wonderful movement in the shape and carving of these chairs is extraordinarily elegant.
