A majestic English, oak coffer dating from the 17th century. Rare documented provenance - this beautiful coffer hails from Mortine house in Hull and was made by Mr E Bwadley in 1678. Unusual opening cupboards in the front of the coffer and the hinged top opens to expose storage cavities underneath. Lovely celtic inspired carved detail and wonderful patina - a stunning feature piece for a modern rustic interior.
