A delightful 19th Century butcher's block from St Etienne , near Lyon , France . This lovely old butcher's block has a rich, time worn patina and the original enamelled maker's plaque still in place. The block has a traditional shaped skirt typical of the earlier blocks and a beautifully decorative detail. The drawer has been replaced but the end grain chopping block and base are both original.
